IRSAP NOW offers two devices for managing your heat generator:
- Smart Thermostat
- Starter
Choosing the most suitable device for your needs first requires you to know whether it is compatible with your boiler.
The questions below can guide you in identifying the most suitable device for your heat generator.
Is your system centralised?
If it is not possible to manage the heat generator directly, because -e.g.- it is not in the house, or it is shared between several users, you can possibly purchase a Smart Thermostat to manage your house in multi-zone mode, taking advantage of its greater accuracy in temperature detection than Smart Valves.
Do you own an old boiler or a new generation boiler?
- Most new generation boilers allow 0-10V and OpenTherm control, in which case you can connect a Starter;
- If you have an older boiler, a Smart Thermostat is probably more suitable.
Do you already have a thermostat wired to the heat generator?
Replace your old thermostat with a Smart Thermostat: in addition to controlling the generator, you will also get information on the temperature, humidity percentage and air quality of that room.
Is the heat generator located in the boiler room or in another room?
Since the above information can be obtained via the Smart Thermostat, if the boiler is installed in a special compartment, it may be more useful to connect a Starter and possibly purchase a Smart Thermostat to manage your home in multi-zone mode.
