Why does the IRSAP NOW app require access to my Location?

  • Position detection is necessary to operate GEOFENCING.

The IRSAP NOW app detects the user’s location and controls the system by switching from 'Home' to 'Away' mode, simply by marking a boundary around your home.

This enables better consumption management when the user is away from home.

  • Why does the app ask me to authorise access to my location ALWAYS?

Geofencing can function properly without being limited in performance by setting the geolocation permission to 'ALWAYS'.

Conversely, localisation will not be active when the app is closed or in the background.

Note for Android devices: We recommend checking that the IRSAP NOW app does not have any battery usage restrictions that may temporarily disable the geolocation service.

To check the setting, the route on your smartphone is as follows:

Menu Settings - Applications - Irsap Now - Battery - Unrestricted

 

  • How do I authorise consent to share my Position?

You can activate location sharing directly from the app, or later from your smartphone settings.

To activate the position via the app, follow the path:

Open the IRSAP NOW app - Menu - Settings - Check your location - Confirm - Allow while using the app - switch to 'always allow'

  • Can I manually activate/change my location sharing consent?

    Of course! Not only can you change the location sharing consent, but you can also switch the location function on and off at any time from your smartphone settings.

With iOS system: Settings - Privacy - Localisation - Irsap Now app - Location

With Android system: Settings - Applications - Irsap Now - Authorisations - Location
